Description
Summary:PT. Pertamina EP Donggi Matindok Field (PEP DMF), as one of Pertamina (Persero)'s business units under the management of Subholding Upstream (SHU), has faced challenges due to a significant increase in Loss Production Opportunity (LPO) since 2023. It has been recorded that several production facilities contributed to a production loss increase of 1339 percent, with potential revenue losses amounting to USD 1,706,574.20. This research was conducted to identify the root causes of the issues and recommend solutions to reduce the LPO at PEP DMF. Secondary data, based on LPO reports from the company, served as the quantitative data to initially formulate the problem and provide the basis for analysis. Meanwhile, primary data was obtained through qualitative data collection, specifically through focus group discussions (FGD). The results of the FGD were analyzed using a Fishbone Diagram, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Pareto Diagram to identify the root causes of the production facility issues leading to LPO. Subsequently, alternative solutions were evaluated using Kepner-Tregoe decision analysis to determine the best solution. The research findings state that "Frequent Unplanned Shutdown of Booster Compressor-B CPP Donggi significantly contributes to Loss Production Opportunity (LPO) at PEP DMF", and the solution to this problem is "The Replacement of the VSD (complete set) Booster Compressor-B CPP Donggi with a new brand that has domestic engineers and its spare parts are still being produced". Implementing this solution is expected to reduce the potential for LPO, ensuring that production activities at PEP DMF can run well.
