INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/86703 Creative economy has become a crucial pillar in sustainable development, especially in countries rich in culture like Indonesia. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a significant role in the national economy by creating jobs and driving local economic stability. Despite limited capital, SMEs thrive by leveraging creativity and innovation. The rapid growth of creative economy in Indonesia is driven by technological innovations, particularly in the use of software tools to generate new products. This paper focuses on the use of J-Batik software by SMEs in Indonesia for creating fractal batik designs, a practice that transforms traditional batik design into a digital process, enabling the creation of complex and unique motifs. While this innovation brings significant benefits, it also presents challenges, such as the need for investment in technology and training, as well as maintaining the authenticity of batik while keeping up with evolving trends. Despite the existing literature on the integration of fractal technology in batik, there is a gap in understanding the interactions within the creative economy ecosystem. This study uses the Market Agencement approach by Callon to examine how various market elements, both human and non-human actors, collaborate and compete to bring fractal batik products to market. By analyzing the use of software in the production of batik, this research aims to bridge the gap between the theory of creative economy and its practical application in the field. Furthermore, the study explores the potential of digitalization in fostering innovation, enhancing global competitiveness, and contributing to the growth of the creative economy in Indonesia. text
