This study addresses the challenges faced by PT. XYZ, particularly the absence of standardized guidelines for setting minimum and maximum stock levels, which leads to increased dead stock and financial inefficiencies. The objectives of this research were to identify the key variables influencing spare parts management costs, utilize historical data for predictive analysis, assess cost impacts, and design an optimal inventory model to minimize financial losses. A data-driven optimization approach was employed, analyzing historical data from 2022–2023, including spare parts usage, procurement records, and maintenance reports. The study identified holding costs as the most significant expense, followed by stockout and ordering costs. By integrating predictive analysis with inventory modelling, an optimal Q inventory management method was developed, minimizing shortages and improving stock utilization. Model validation and simulations indicated a potential reduction in financial losses by 44% through adjusted stock limits and efficient procurement strategies. This research provides actionable insights into inventory management for PT. XYZ, enabling better decision-making, cost savings, and enhanced operational reliability. The findings contribute to improving maintenance efficiency and fostering sustainable practices in the automotive manufacturing sector. text |
