Description
Summary:The technology sector is expanding quickly, as evidenced by the large number of businesses providing digital services and goods to improve people's lives. However, this industry frequently has high turnover rates. One of these is PT Qwords Company International, which has a high employee turnover rate of 54% annually, with voluntary resignations accounting for most of the causes. This issue motivates studies to examine employee engagement to boost retention intentions. This research uses employee engagement theory by measuring the Gallup Q12 model to assess the level of employee engagement. The research also examined the intention to stay theory to determine whether employees had a short-term or longterm goal to stay with the company. This study conducted preliminary research through interviews with three interviewees to explore the business problems faced by the company. This research uses a quantitative approach through questionnaires 46 Qwords employees filled out the questionnaire. The relationship between employee engagement and intention to retain employees was investigated using a quantitative data analysis method called least-squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This finding shows that, with a 67.9% contribution to the dependent variable’s variance, employee engagement significantly impacts the intention to stay. In addition, this study shows that most Qwords employees want to continue working at the company in the short term but are hesitant to stay in the long term. By boosting employee engagement, businesses may establish a productive workplace that is focused on long-term sustainability and high output.
