Description
Summary:The city of Bandung has a very high population density, reaching 15,051 ????????????????????????/????????????. Along with population growth and increased public consumption in the city of Bandung, this will have an impact on the high emergence and variety of types of waste produced by the community. This causes the city of Bandung to face increasingly complex waste management problems. The city of Bandung produces waste generation of 1,594.18 tons/day or 581,876.52 tons per year, so it requires a waste processing facility that is able to reduce the waste generation produced every day. And TPST (Integrated Waste Processing Site) is one of the means that can be used to overcome this problem. So, the Gedebage District scale TPST (Integrated Waste Processing Site) was designed to process domestic waste and garden waste. The design was carried out by sampling the waste generation in Gedebage District to obtain the amount of waste generation, the percentage composition of the waste and the density of the waste. This data is used as a basis for initial considerations in determining the processing technology to be applied. The selection of processing technology was carried out using the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method. The configuration of the selected processing technology is semimanual sorting, chopping, BSF (Black Soldier Fly), Windrow Composting, plastic pellets, and paper and metal compaction. And from the calculation results, this facility can process 48.03 tonnes/day of waste by producing 1.63 tonnes/day of dry larvae and 0.76 tonnes/day of compost. This TPST facility requires a minimum land area of 4,174.65 ????2.
