Description
Summary:In railway operations, locomotive radio devices play a crucial role as a communication medium between train drivers and Train Traffic Controllers (PPKA). However, the current manual monitoring process for these devices results in inefficiencies and limitations in early fault detection. This Final Project aims to develop an IT-based monitoring system for radio devices integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) services and cloud databases. The methodology involves designing a backend subsystem for time-series data storage using Google Cloud Monitoring and Firebase Realtime Database, as well as a frontend subsystem for real-time data visualization through the Grafana platform and web applications. The development process includes data acquisition from hardware, storage in JSON format, and visualization through interactive dashboards. Testing results indicate that the system successfully transmits and displays real-time data with low latency in compliance with ITU-T and IEEE standards, provides abnormal condition alerts, and stores historical data for further analysis. This system is expected to enhance operational efficiency, expedite fault detection, and support data-driven decision-making in the railway industry.
