Here the role of launching time of the new product is very important. In this discussions, ’launching’ refer to the launching of the product that was finish produced. Failure that happen at any time during the process prior to launching can result to delay of the launching. <br />

The aim of this research is to identify and analyse factors that became cause of the occurrence delay in finished goods, by taking case study in PT X. Interview and observation is used to collect data. Problem causal identification use fishbone diagram method. After the problem causal is identified, then solution alternatives will be developed. Validation of the business solutions is based on literature study. <br />

New product development stages in PT X, begin from the New Product Proposal until product launch. The success of the product is measured based on punctuality during the launching. Totalling 77% from the total product, that was developed in one period experienced delay. 23% product were launched on time. Many factors became cause of the delay. Factors that caused delay in finished goods directly, was the registration number, arrival of raw material and packed neatly material, production of artwork and proofprint, and design approval of the package. Based on this identification, solution alternatives, that can be executed by the company, are developed. <br />
