These α-amylase family have a big role in industrial fields, such as in starch processing. The aim of the research was to characterize α-amylase enzyme from marine Pseudoalteromonas sp. Qualitative test for α-amylase was showed with transparent area around bacteria after increasing KI/I2. α-amylase enzyme secretion in initial growth has a small quantities and will increase associated with quantities of cell bacteria. Production of α-amylase enzyme will be in maximum quantities at late stationary phase. α-amylase enzyme from Pseudoalteromonas sp. work stable at temperature range of 50-60ºC with optimum temperature at 55ºC, and work at pH range of 4.0-7.0. text
