The Marshall procedure was used to determine the stability and flow characteristics of the sand sheet mixes, the influence of curing time was also investigated. It was found that acceptable mixes for use as sand sheet could be prepared using a cut back modified asbuton bitumen. Comments on the likely skid properties have been made, as well as pointers towards good field application. text
