In this case, the writer discusses the phonemic interference of the Dayak Ngaju language into English made by some Dayak students in Kabupaten Malang. To gain the data, first the writer chose 5 respondents based on three criteria: I) Dayak people who can speak Dayak Ngaju, Indonesian, and English languages; 2) They have university education background; 3) They have been living in Malang for more than 1 year. Second, she asked the respondents to pronounce some English words in the list the writer had made. Third, she recorded their speech and then transcribed it. Fourth, she classified the phonemic interference errors based on omission, addition, substitution, and disordering in any possible position: initial, medial, and final. 2004 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/1/1_%20HALAMAN%20JUDUL.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/2/2_%20DAFTAR%20ISI.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/3/3_%20ABSTRAK.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/4/4_%20BAB%20I%20PENDAHULUAN.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/5/5_%20BAB%20II%20TINJAUAN%20PUSTAKA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/6/6_%20BAB%20III%20PRESENTASI%20DAN%20ANALISIS%20DATA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/7/7_%20BAB%20IV%20KESIMPULAN.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/8/8_%20DAFTAR%20PUSTAKA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/129732/9/9_%20LAMPIRAN.pdf LESLY MARTHA CECYLIA MEKA (2004) PHONEMIC INTERFERENCE OF THE DAYAK NGAJU LANGUAGE INTO ENGLISH MADE BY SOME DAYAK STUDENTS IN MALANG, JAWA TIMUR (A CASE STUDY).
