Summary:Incidents of sexual violence in children (children sexual abuse) is increasing and often found in various media outlet, children who are vulnerable to be victims are kindergarten and elementary school students (age 5-12 years). This is a serious problem that will cause a psychological disorder such as depression, therefore child-centered prevention efforts are necessary. One prevention effort that can be applied to children is micro role play. This study aimed to explain the effect of micro role playing on increasing knowledge and attitude in prevention of children sexual abuse (8-9 years). This research used pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test method. The population of this study was children aged 8-9 years. There were 35 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained from the questionnaire and analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test at significance level ≤ 0.05. The analysis showed that both knowledge and attitude variable had p = 0.000. The results showed that there was significant increase of knowledge and attitudes in children sexual abuse prevention in children aged 8-9 years after the micro role play.
