Summary: | The saliva of chronic periodontitis patients will be oxidative stress due to increase risk breakdown of Dl A gingival epithelium . The mechanism of DNA breaks are
present from vari et ies source, such as lipid perox idati on, ox idation of proteins and potential
enzymes and the loss of pro inflamation cytokine. Minocycline was a second generation
tetracyclines known to present several other effects, which are independent from their
anti microbial activit ies. Minocycline demonstrated anti oxidant effect with radical
scavenging activity comparable with alfa tocopherol. Minocycline be longing to the class of phenolic antioxidant. |
