During my internship at Jawa Pos for a month, I can learn about how to translate and write sports news well. I also learn about the strategies about translating terms. The strategies that can be used in translating the sports terms according to the strategies of Vinay and Darbelnet are adaptation, transpositions, and calque strategy. It is because sports terms cannot be translated directly or word per word translation. It will create different meaning from the source language sports terms. Even though in the beginning of my internship I faced some difficulties, such as understanding sports terms, choosing source articles, until adapting to the work atmosphere and the co-workers at my internship place; now, I can be more connected when someone have a conversation with me about sports, I can understand every time I read sports news. I can be more prepared about translating and writing sports news if I get that kind of job in the future. In addition, as an introvert person, I can be more open up with my surrounding environment, and I can be more independent in all matters.
