EFEK PROTEKTIF EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KESUM (Polygonum minus) TERHADAP JUMLAH SEL LEYDIG MENCIT (Mus musculus) YANG DIPAPAR LOGAM BERAT KADMIUM KLORIDA (CdCl2)
The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect of Polygonum minus leaves ethanol extract on Leydig cells necrosis in the testes that explored by cadmium chloride (CdClCMC Na 0.5% solution + 12 mg/kg bw/day cadmium chloride), P1, P2, and P3 (200, 400, and 800 mg/kg bw/day Polygonum mi...

Summary: | The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect of Polygonum minus leaves ethanol extract on Leydig cells necrosis in the testes that explored by cadmium chloride (CdClCMC Na 0.5% solution + 12 mg/kg bw/day cadmium chloride), P1, P2, and P3 (200, 400, and 800 mg/kg bw/day Polygonum minus leaves ethanol extract respectively + 12 mg/kg bw/day cadmium chloride). The observation was done by examined the number of Leydig cells. The data was analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan test. The research showed significant differents (p < 0.05) among the treatment groups. The conclusion of this research is kesum leaves (Polygonum minus) ethanol extract can protect and maintain the number of Leydig cells of mice testes from destructive effect of cadmium chloride, and the optimum dose is 400 mg/kg bw/day. 2) in mice (Mus musculus). Twenty male mice were divided into five groups, four mice each group and administered through intragastric gavage with differents treatments for 21 days. The treatment groups were K(–) (CMC Na 0.5% solution + aquadest), K(+) (
