| Summary: | Fatigue assessment for hospital nurses is important because nurses are in
the first line handling the patients in hospitals and also affect the quality of
service in a hospital. This research evaluated six questionnaires of fatigue to
developed the new one which is more suitable for assessing fatigue experienced by hospital nurses. In this study, the subjects are nurses who deal directly in patient care.
This research consists of three main stages. The first stage is the selection
of fatigue questionnaires which will be used as the object of research. This
resulted in six fatigue questionnaires which are Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS), Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), Fatigue Related Symptoms Questionnaire (F-RSQ) Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER), Kuesioner Alat Ukur Perasaan Kelelahan Kerja (KAUPK2), and the Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI). The second stage is the determination of fatigue questionnaire criterias that are suitable for fatigue assesment for hospital nurses by using Analytical Hierarchy Process method (AHP). The third stage is the development and testing of a new questionnaire. The new questionnaire was compared to the other questionnaires in order to find out the most suitable used for fatigue assessment for hospital nurses.
The results showed that the new questionnaire (Evaluasi Kelelahan
Subyektif/EKS) has the highest weights which is 0,817. In the aspect of reliability and validity, the EKS also has the highest value that is 0.92 and 0.87. EKS has correlation value which is 0,86 and smallest error rate by 0.03. |
