Summary: | Background : Nutrition status of the pregnant women is very crucial because there is
a significant changing in their body. One of the main factors is eating pattern,
especially energy, folic acid, calcium, and iron consumption, the main nutrition of
pregnancy. Food Record method is the good accuracy and precision one but it
renders more difficult for respondents. Besides, there are two others used commonly,
FFQ and Food Recall 24-Hours.
Objective : To know the level of validity and reliability of FFQ and Food Recall 24-
Hours based on Food Record in assessing consumption of energy, folic acid,
calcium, and iron in the pregnant women.
Methodology : This is a cross sectional study which done in Kebumen, Central Java,
in September 2012 till January 2013. The samples are 64 health pregnant women
without any infections, degenerative disease, or diet therapy. The exclusion criteria
are the illiteracy and who has psychology disturbing. The recorded data are the
variety, amount, and frequency of foods consumed. The level of validity and reliability
is known by comparing the data written on FFQ and Food Recall 24-Hours with Food
Record.
Result : The validity values of the Food Recall 24-Hours in assessing energy,
calcium, folic acid, and iron consumption based on Food Record is 0,471 |
