Summary:This research aims to identify the ticks, at once was to know introduced making preparation used with lactic acid and KOH 10% . The ticks sample taken manually using tweezers and stored in a tube to lay their eggs to be larva and making slides preparat. Making slides preparation using multilevel alcohol and soaked in the clove oil. Tick identified microscopically using a binocular microscope with a magnification of 40x includes palpus, hypostome, feston, and anal groove. Larva tick has characteristics body shape like triangle with the posterior rounded. Anal groove around the anus posterior side with anal groove fading, Hypostoma and Palpus short, Feston absent, the number of three pairs of legs and coxa I-II bifid. Based on the results of the microscopic identification can be concluded that ticks included in the genus Boophilus. Difference preparat the used of lactic acid is darker than on the used of KOH 10%.
