Mothers knowledge is very influence for autism children care including gluten casein free diet and the nutritional status of children with autism. Gluten casein free diet can make a greatly affects for condition of autism children, but this diet can also make a restrictiveness consumption for children with autism that can influence their nutritional status. Objective : Knowing the relationship between mothers knowledge with gluten casein free diet and nutritional status of autism children. Method : This was a quantitative study with cross-sectional design. The subject of this study were thirty chidren with autism who study at SLBN Pembina, Samara Bunda, Marsudi Putra 1 dan Marsudi Putra 2 and also their mothers. Mothers knowledge was measured by the mothers knowledge questionnaire , the type of gluten casein free diet measured by Food Recall 24 hour and FFQ, and the nutritional status known by measurements of weight and height of children with autism. Pearson Chi Square were used to analysed the data. Result : As many as 60% of mothers have good knowledge, 53,3% of children were on gluten, casein restricted diets, and 80% of children were on normal nutritional status. The result of Pearson Chi Square test showed that there was significant relationship between mothers knowledge with gluten, casein free diet of autism children (p<0,05). But, there was no significant relationship between gluten casein free diet with the nutritional status of autism children (p>0,05), and mothers knowledge with the nutritional status of autism children (p>0,05). Conclusion : Mothers knowledge was associated with gluten casein free diet of autism children, but gluten casein free diet was not related to nutritional status of autism children, and mothers knowledge was not related to nutritional status of autism children. The result of this study also showed that most of the respondent have a normal nutritional status.
