bus, car, train or vessel. As time goes by, expanding bustle man was increasing.
people are required to be able to do activities as fast as they can. It is not
surprising, if so customers using an airplane as their transportation. With time,
various airlines also sprung up in indonesia. Thus, competition between airline
fares cannot be avoided any longer.
One of the advantages for consumers with this competition is the advent of
cheap tickets. The airlines are competing to make an attractive promotion to
attract consumers. The object of this research is the consumer of one of the
leading tour operator in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is located in Jl. Laksda
Adisucipto Km. 9, No. 13, Sleman.
The aim of this research is to find out how consumers react toward cheap
ticket flight. In addition, this research aims to know the motivation of the
consumers to continue to use air transport.
The method used was descriptive qualitative research. Exploration of lab data
more suitable to be approached with the qualitative method. The collection of data
is taken from two sources of data, namely primary data through interview with
consumers, chairman and some staff of PACTO Ltd. While secondary data is
derived from a documentary photographs and ticket selling data. These data were
obtained from observation, interviews and documentation in order to support the
topic of this research.
Consumers choose airlines based on several factors, including price, time
efficiency, preference, security, convenience, ease, trust and satisfaction. Most
consumers choose cheap airline tickets. Not only that, time efficiency also
becomes a consederation for some of them. However, often the cheap airline users
must be disappointed because the service did not match what they expect
Because of that, the writer intends to give input to the PACTO Ltd.,
Especially those who work as ticketing staff who sell plane tickets and give
explanation to the prospective consumers about each airlines. This was done in
order to avoid losses by the consumers due to inedible promotion that is offered.
