| Summary: | The aim of this study was to identify histopathology Sprague Dawley
rat spleen induced subcutaneous with 1.2 Dimethylhydrazine. This study was
conducted in the Laboratory of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta . Ten rats with age 1.5 month old were
divided into 2 groups . Group I as much as 5 rats as control given Carboxy Methyl
Cellulose ( CMC ) with a concentration 0.1 % in oral, group II as many as 10 rats
treated subcutaneously induced with 1,2 Dimethylhydrazine ( DMH ) at a dose of
60 mg / kg BB for 15 weeks . At week 15, mice euthanasia using chloroform ,
then spleen should be taken and put inside in 10 % formalin and made into
histological preparations . The data was analyzed descriptive by comparing the
changes in the control and treatment groups . Based on the results of this study it
can be concluded that the DMH may cause the spleen to change with the increase
in quality pigment hemosidirin that looks a lot more exposure to DMH that cause
oxidative damage to erythrocytes |
