Ak1ivitas fraksi toksik jamur Volvariella volvacea diamati in vitro dengan metode cakram kertas menggunakan bakteri-bakteri Escherichia coil, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Micrococcus luteus, Salmonella setubal, dan Staphylococcus aureus sebagai bakteri uji. Fraksi toksik dirunut berdasarkan uji toksisitas terhadap bioindikator Artemia sauna Leach. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa fraksi etilasetat asam mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap semua bakteri uji, sedangkan fraksi n-heksana hanya aktif terhadap bakteri uji Staphylococcus aureus.
Kata kunci : Antibakteri, Volvariella volvacea.
ABSTRACT
Antimicrobial activity of the toxic fraction of mushroom Volvariella volvacea had been studied in-vitro using paper disc method to Escherichia coil, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Micrococcus luteus, Salmonella setubal, and Staphylococcus aureus. The toxic fraction was monitored using Anemia sauna Leach as bioindicator. The results obtained suggested that the acidic ethylacetate fraction had significance activity to all of the tested microorganism, while the n-hexane fraction was active against Staphylococcus aureus only. |
