To have a suitable cluster, the node that became a cluster should consider the distance to the base station and remaining energy. The clusters were connected to the base station (a sink) for data reception and transmission. This paper proposes fuzzy logic for cluster selection (FLCE) with an aim to increase the network lifetime of wireless sensor networks.
