C haracterizationusingFTIRshowedthefunctionalgroupsofcement-zeolitecompositegranulefillersandthefunctionalgroupsindicatingtheformationofcalciumsilicatehydrate(CSH)fromthecementhydrationreaction.ResultsofanalysisusingX-raydiffractionconfirmedtheFTIRdatawhichwasmarkedbythepresenceofdiffractionpeaksofthecompositecement-zeolitegranulefillersandcementhydrationproducts(ettringite,jennite,andtobermorite).Thestudyofthezeoliteparticlesizeeffectonthequalityofthecompositegranulesshowedthatthecompositegranuleswithparticlesizeof400meshasthehighestwateradsorptioncapacity(31.39%)andforparticlesizeof80meshhasthehighestcompressivestrength(140.4863N).Thestudyontheinfluenceoftheamountofcementshowedthatthecompositegranulespreparedbymixing1gramofcementwith5gramsofzeolitehasthehihestwateradsorptioncapacity(35.5%).Thehighestcompressivestrength(119.5302N)wasachievedbythecompositegranulesmadewith5gramsofcement.Theresultofdesorptiontimetestshowedthattheethanoldesorptiontimewasmuchfasterthanthatthewater,andthistimedifferencewasthenusedasthebasisforseparationofethanol-watermixturewithoutheating.
