Summary: | The study is motivated by concern for the lack of knowledge of teachers in
classroom management theoretically. Secondly, principal and superintendent in
SMKN 2 Yogyakarta has never held an academic supervision individually using
office-conference techniques that specifically discuss classroom management.
This study aims to provide teachers a chance to get and share experiences
by individual supervision in classroom management. The study also aims to
determine the benefits of the implementation of office-conference as an effort to
improve the knowledge of teachers in classroom management.
This research method is action research with one cycle consisting of
phases (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation, and (4)
reflection.
The results of the action showed that there is an improvement of teachers'
knowledge in managing the classroom through individual academic supervision
by office-conference technique. Pretest assessment results reach an average of
43.3 in the category of bad, and the results of the assessment posttest reach of
66.6.
Based on these results the authors recommend to the superintendent and
principals to organize academic supervision individually using office-conference
as an effort to improve teachers knowledge in classroom management at school. |
