A fluid model which is embedded with a Volume-of-Fluid model is used to monitor the liquid-gas interface dynamics. A simple 2D model of a nozzle is constructed in GAMBIT and then the mesh is run in FLUENT 12. Liquid turbulence is modelled using the RNG k-ε model coupled with the cavitation model. Different flows based on the Reynolds Number, and cavitation numbers were tested. The simulated results were then compared with the experimental data provided in the article.
