Halim Rashed, Zetty Nurzuliana Q Science (General) This article discusses the challenge of Islamic education teachers in integrating knowledge of science and al-Quran in the teaching of Islamic education. The success of the knowledge integration depends a lot on the degree to which teachers understand the concept, philosophy and its goals and how they apply them. However, the issue that becomes the problem is that teachers might think that they have already understood the matter nonetheless they actually have not grasp the concept. If teachers don't understand the concept, philosophy and aims of integrated education clearly and sufficiently, then what is hoped might not be achieved. This study utilizes qualitative design as the methodology by conducting interviews towards four Islamic education teachers at two Maahad Tahfiz Science in Selangor. Data analysis was conducted using the Atlas.ti software version 7.5.7. This study uses constant comparative method in analyzing data. Findings of the study showed that there are problems which exist in education environment, lack of adequate knowledge and skills, the burden of duties and responsibilities of teachers become problems to the Islamic education teachers (GPI) to implement the integration of science and al-Qur'an in Islamic education teaching.
