Summary:Accompanying with globalization is the need for Intercultural education, which inspired the launching of “Intercultural communication” course in University of Languages and International Studies in order to arm the future global citizen with crucial competence – Intercultural one. With the aim for the course to be more and more effective and support students better, the study was conducted to evaluate the impact of this course on students‟ intercultural competence and suggest effective ways to raise the quality of the course because there is no previous research investigating this matter that is undertaken from the subjective viewpoint of the course students before. The method of the research was narrative. Research results showed that all students developed intercultural competence thanks to the course. Besides, data analyzing result also revealed about the effectiveness of the course aspects: content, material, lecture and teaching methods, which provided much data for suggestions for a more effective course, which are lessening the amount of theory and adding more illustrations and practice.
