This research work was undertaken to examine the topic of Quality Management in manufacturing area, the various techniques of Quality Control used and the effectiveness and efficiency of these applications. This study also set to figure out what manufacturing firms seek to achieve through Quality Management practice. To achieve these objectives, a study of ABB Ltd., a well-known electricity brand, was carried out. This research evaluated Quality Control as well as Quality Assurance techniques implemented by ABB. Furthermore, a case study in regard with quality issues in Australia market was analyzed to see how defective risks affected ABB’s profit and reputation. ABB’s recent contributions to improve the situation were also represented to see how the company react to the challenging period 2012-2015. The last part is some recommendations for the identified problems.
