Description
Summary:This study is pointed towards investigating a more extensive definition and understanding of beauty as it was portrayed in AMAKABOGERA, a song by Maymay Entrata, from both its music video and lyrics. This study utilized a qualitative approach: content analysis supported by the concept of cinematography, the figures of speech, and representation by Stuart Hall on beauty standards. Findings showed that AMAKABOGERA endeavored to redefine the term beauty which cannot be resolved exclusively by specific standards, yet beauty is manifested by the way one sees himself/herself. These findings featured the significance of self-acceptance and self-confidence in the social context.
