The main factor which leads to such problem is limited source of power. This limiting factor can be met with the introduction of micro-hydro power plants. Micro-hydro power plant operates almost as the same way as ordinary hydro power plants. The resource (current of the river) is stored or contained by constructing a dam. Water level rises which provides the potential energy to the water. The water current is used to drive the hydraulic turbines which converts the potential energy into mechanical energy. With the use of two kinds of generators-synchronous and induction generators, these energies can be converted into electrical energy. Effective utilization of this energy had been the main problem for such plants. There are already existing E.L.C. designs and prototypes, but recommendations for modifying it to increase it's application were provided. The main concern of this proposed project is to integrate the function of the E.L.C. and the I.G.C. - a controller that would operate when the generator is used. Like the E.L.C.s. and I.G.C.s, we also aim to harness maximum efficiency of the micro-hydro power plant. Protection circuits will also be designed for purpose of maintenance, security and performance. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9701 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Power electronics Electronic control Electric controller Simulation methods Electric power-plants--Load Hydroelectric power plants--Abra
