Handling materials, for example, can be made simpler and faster through the use of automated systems. This study which deals with automating a manufacturing process involving the stacking of pallets. The Computer Controlled Pneumatic Canned Tuna Stacker is capable of loading and stacking pallets into a metal cart, wherein the pallets are filled with cans. The Computer Controlled Pneumatic Canned Tuna Stacker is composed of pneumatic cylinders as the means of motion for the system, a fork attached to the pneumatic cylinders serves as the means in picking up the pallets and a programmable logic controller (PLC) is the device used to control the solenoid valves which will in turn actuate the pneumatic cylinders. The whole system was able to perform its function repeatedly which is to load and stack the pallets into metal carts. The system is accurate enough to perform its objectives, although some offshoot was observed, it was well within tolerable limits. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9777 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Programmable controllers Computers--Industrial use Automation Manufacturing processes
