The samples used in the TGA were ground to mesh 140 and dried at 100 C. Tests were made for each 5 mg sample at different heating rates (10, 20, and 50 C/min.). Resulting TG curves were used to determine the kinetics of the sample. The samples used in the bench-scale pyrolyzer were ground to mesh 4 and also dried at 100 C. Pyrolysis for each sample (200 g) was performed at different temperature ranges (250, 300, and 350 C).
