Draper, Frawly Placido, Mary Paz Ricasas, Rodly Yango, Christian Allan For years, rural development has been impeded by the lack or limited source of power. The development of micro-hydro electric power plant presents a great solution to power distribution problems in remote areas of our country. The abundance of water in our country provides the most effective solution to the said problem. Micro-hydro electric power plant operates like any full-scale hydroelectric power plant, both being reliant on water, which is used to drive hydraulic turbines. These turbines convert the energy from water into mechanical energy. Generators, particularly synchronous and induction generators are used to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. There are already existing electronic load controller designs for micro-hydroelectric plants. These controllers function as a power output regulator, maintaining the generator output power within a desired range. This study focuses on the design and construction using locally available parts of an improved version of the electronic load controller equipped with a protection scheme that is more reliable and has a higher power handling capacity than existing ELCs. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10236 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Water resources development Hydroelectric power plants Electrical and Electronics |

For years, rural development has been impeded by the lack or limited source of power.
