The topics covered for the project must be able to discuss the various models of signal amplification techniques which are analyzed in lectures in electronic devices and circuitry. With the advent of wide-scale use of solid-state semiconductor technology since the late sixties, the field of transistor electronics has gained an important ground in the management of all aspects of day to day human activity. The proper study of signal amplification is the essential foundation to the design of high level of electronics application. Signal amplifiers are the building blocks of large scale integrated circuitries. The PAASCU and the College of Engineering of De La Salle University shares the common interest in alleviating the standards in electronics education. Engineering colleges in the country, in offering courses for different engineering and computer majors, still rely heavily on text and laboratory programs published by foreign authors. Although the technology does not really vary from country to country, the method of studies outlined does not cater to the requirements of the local electronics curriculum. The thesis group believes that many of the professors in electronics have been successfully implementing laboratory classes by synthesis from different references. This is a major consideration for finally organizing the thesis project into a complete laboratory package. The thesis group has taken into consideration the costs of updating manuals for laboratories. There has been a limited selection of electronics manuals published locally. The use of integrated circuitry in Signal Analysis has been increasingly popular and effective in a variety of applications. Such amplifier packages must also be included in the laboratory studies of the subject. Integrated circuits packages has been included in later published manuals by foreign authors. Another concern of the thesis group is the discussion of signal amplification in its most utilized forms, radio frequency amplification. This topic still has to be taken with more detail considering the number of usages of this topic as well as the number of student in electronics wishing to pursue their education in the fields communications. Faced with the common interests of the thesis group and the PAASCU in promoting a viable Filipino educational innovation, the thesis will pursue to bring an effective portable laboratory training facility. The study will include an initial review of topics to be covered in the project. Its implementation into the several modules will be discussed and tested until a complete package of training equipment and laboratory manuals are presentable to the ECE Department of De La Salle University. Materials for research are abundant with the background knowledge and experience obtained in electronics lectures and laboratories coming to importance in the project implementation. In all the stages of research, the theoretical basis for deciding on the circuitry design and project topics can be inferred from the references which are presently used. The thesis group will have to come out with the complete package with the manuals. Because of this, valuable suggestions would have to come from the electronics students and professors themselves.
