Liu, Trisha Vanessa T. NemSingh, Jenina Grace T. The thesis study prepared is a systems study on the fit-out phase for city mall construction projects of the Engineering, Design and Development (EDD) of Company X. The study focused on analyzing the system currently used by EDD in their daily operations for the past six (6) mall construction projects and it was found out that the company loses millions after realizing material losses, specifically on tiles. The company recognized a total loss of PHp 5,102,050.00 as opposed to the standard of 0% material losses. The main causes that were identified to have contributed to the said problem were as follows: There is no clear roles and responsibilities aligned to all on what an employee is accountable on doing, and the methods currently present and being used are deemed to be ineffective, when it comes to the counting and tagging of material inventory, recording of information on the allocation of materials issued, and security procedures on the site warehouse. With this being said, the study then proposed a system that will be acquired by Company X, EDD, wherein new procedures and policies are to be implemented that will prevent and eliminate material losses from occurring. A manual was made containing the guidelines, policies, and processes that will be followed on the processes present in EDD, which will be used in their daily operations, from receiving of construction materials, storage of these materials, and its issuance for installation. Moreover, the roles and responsibilities of the employees involved was updated in such a way that the accountability of one is aligned to all from the start to have a proper ownership on the movement of materials, and to establish a stricter security system. 2012-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10593 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Sustainable engineering Environmental engineering Industrial Engineering
