Investigation of the insecticidal activity of Lansium domesticum Correa peelings

The insecticidal activity of methanol and water extracts from dried Lansium domesticum Correea peelings was investigated by testing on cockroaches the extracts by four methods: maceration, soaking, boiling and soxhlet extractions. The most effective insecticidally active extract was that obtained by...

The water extracts were resolved into three components using 1:1:2 glacial acetic acid-chloroform-benzene by thin layer chromatography. The methanol extracts were separated into two spots using 1:2:4 methanol-acetone-diethyl ether. Phytochemical tests performed indicate the presence of alkaloids, cardenolides and/or bufadienolides and condensed tannins. 1984-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/190 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Insecticidal plants Lansium domesticum (Lanzones) Methanol Chemistry
