Olives, Lanz Aidan L. Rojas, Stephanie Clare T. The aim of this study is to verify the moderating effect of the three components of Goal Orientation on the relationship between the components of Locus of Hope and Self-regulation. Each goal orientation namely, Mastery, Performance Approach and Performance Avoidance were used to determine which of them has the moderating effect that can either strengthen or weaken the link between Locus of Hope and Self-regulation. The study used as quantitative approach to explain the relationships of the variables. The data used for the study were gathered from law students of one public and three private law schools in the Philippines. Using multiple regression analysis, the results of the study showed that Internal Locus of Hope is a stronger predictor of Self-regulation compared to External Locus of Hope. Furthermore, the results showed that Performance Avoidance Goal orientation significantly strengthen the relationship of both Internal Locus of Hope and External Locus of Hope with Self-regulation. The results can be attributed to the culture, environment and educational system in law schools. 2013-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11428 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Goal (Psychology) Regulatory focus (Psychology) Psychology |
