Automatic retraction and detraction of billboards by using fuzzy-logic controller with built-in image processing application for tarpaulin display

The main focus of this project is how to keep the tarpaulin displays safe from the dangers that typhoons in the Philippines pose to them. Weather parameters are to be gathered using sensors that sends the data to the system which interprets and gives the action to the motors whether to roll up, down...

Lagrito, Paolo Polaris M. Resurreccion, Carlos M. Suaco, Jess J. Teofisto, Emmanuel Ruiz P. The main focus of this project is how to keep the tarpaulin displays safe from the dangers that typhoons in the Philippines pose to them. Weather parameters are to be gathered using sensors that sends the data to the system which interprets and gives the action to the motors whether to roll up, down, or maintain its current configuration. The parameters would be discussed and the data would be tabulated and graphed to be able to show the improvements on the accuracy of the system. Another focus of this project is the ability of the system to automatically choose which of the three (3) tarpaulins are to be displayed based on the majority gender of the surrounding population of the billboard. These foci would be accomplished using motors that would roll up and roll down the tarpaulin displays. The sensors would be interfaced to the main program to be able to accurately capture the data that it gathers from the weather patterns of the environment. A separate sub-program would be responsible in controlling the motors on the orientation of their movement detector was gathering through controlled experimentation and actual weather parameters to be able to calibrate correctly the membership functions. 2013-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11529 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Billboards Advertising, Outdoor Signs and signboards Electrical and Electronics Engineering
