Summary:Executive Summary. In the Philippines where the weather is basically warm, ice cream has been a favorite not only during summer but all year round. However, ice cream contains high fattening ingredients which causes people who are dieting and who are health conscious to cease eating ice cream. Today, GLACE CORPORTATION will try to change people's outlook on ice cream. It is offering an alternative to high fattening ice cream which will soon compete in the market. GLACE will give consumers the fancy taste of ice cream and will provide extra nutrients, such as Vitamin A and Beta carotene, not found in any ice cream presently marketed. This study focuses on the introduction and production of an innovative product: ice cream with carrot juice and tidbits. This project further discusses the different aspects of the product thoroughly in the following areas, summaries which have been presented below, namely: Marketing, Technical, Management, and Socio-Economics. A Marketing. GLACE CORPORATION will initially produce a vanilla flavored ice cream glazed with carrots. The market study takes into consideration the purchasing behavior of consumers towards ice cream. Having this in mind, the marketing study centers on the selling points of the product such as its fancy taste, packaging, and most importantly, its nutritional value. It likewise includes the marketing programs designed to make the product known and accepted in the existing ice cream industry. B. TECHNICAL. The technical aspect of this study discusses the procedures in making ice cream and the ingredients requirement. It also takes into consideration discussion regarding equipment's to be used, the plant site, facilities lay-out and labor requirement. C. Management and Legal. This aspect tackles the organizational structure and business operations of the company. The organizational structure and business operations of the company. The management study discusses the legal requirements necessary to start up a corporate form of a business organization. Company policies are set out in order to achieve the strategies that management has decided to pursue. The different personnel necessary for the operation of the business have also been presented which includes job requirement and compensation. D. Financial. The financial study deals with the sources of capital and the financial projections and forecasts to prove the financial viability of the company. Initial financial will come from the investments of the incorporators and from the loan acquired from the bank. This study will also present the company's liquidity, solvency, and profitability through the use of trends and financial ratios. It will prove that the result of which is favorable, thus, the product is worth continuing. E. Socio-Economic. Carrot glazed ice cream offers an alternative to consumers. Since one of the main ingredient is carrot, glazed ice cream contain beta carotene which plays a role in supporting the body's defense mechanism against cancer and chronic degenerative diseases. It can likewise be a protective effect against cardiovascular disease and cataract. Aside from beta carotene, carrot glazed ice cream will contain minimal amount of fat, thus making it more favorable to one's health. The introduction of this new product in the market will also provide more job opportunities to the Filipinos and would make the competition in the ice cream industry stiffer which would then be beneficial to the Philippine economy as a whole.
