Summary: | Mobile phones have been both a boon and a bane to mankind. They have changed the way people communicate and the same time cause distractions and other problems. This research is focused on building a mobile phone jamming device. This would hopefully reduce distractions and accidents caused by mobile phone usage while driving at a high speed. The said device would be implemented inside an automobile and would be triggered on when the vehicle's speed is over a certain limit. Using a Voltage-controlled Oscillator and a Tune circuit, the jamming device will be transmitting signals that will sweep through the frequency band used by the service providers, thus canceling their signal. While a microcontroller and a receive unit will provide the feedback to the jammer in terms of received signal strength coming from the providers. No received signal means there is no signal to jam so the jammer turns off. |
