Description
Summary:This study aims to develop a portable station that is able to transmit biomedical parameters to a server through GSM network. The server will in turn construct a database in order to store the data gathered, and send back diagnoses, based on the parameters received, to the remote station. The system is designed in an open-ended manner to facilitate the future expandability of the system. An ECG module and a blood pressure module are constructed to demonstrate the capabilities of the system. Three additional and simpler biomedical modules are constructed to further demonstrate the system's modularity. Simple diagnostics for the biomedical modules are also implemented. The data gathered will then be transmitted using SMS technology via a GSM module.
