Description
Summary:Computer games comprise one of the fastest-growing application markets in the world, and many of them are targeted to run on different platforms. Currently, Microsoft XNA is the only framework that supports the development of games for both Windows and Xbox 360. Game frameworks are an important part of a game since it facilitates the switching between different models of interaction with the game application. However, there are only a few fully developed game engines that have support for XNA. The proponents of this research developed game engines that have support for XNA. The proponents of this research developed an XNA framework-based engine for the creation of single-player 3D Computer and Console Role-playing Games (CRPGs). Aether Game Engine was able to integrate the XNA framework and provided features for creating 3D CRPGs. Features include Game Screen management, 2D and 3D object management, input detection from mouse and keyboard and audio management.
