Description
Summary:This paper presents and documents the research project entitled Zigbee and RFID Based Inventory System for TCCK Industrial Company . The research is mainly focused on developing an inventory management system specifically tailored to the company's operations. This project aims to manage and organize TCCK's method of doing inventory. This expandable inventory system would be implemented by integrating two radio frequency technologies namely the RFID and the ZigBee. The inventory system consists of both hardware and software divisions. The hardware division is composed of a microcontroller circuit which controls either an RFID interrogator or a keypad attached to it. The RFID module is responsible for keeping track of the tagged tools. On the other hand, raw material transactions may be done remotely using the keypad module. The data coming to and from the modules are transmitted through ZigBee, to a central workstation where the administration of the inventory is done, is comprised of a graphical user interface and an online database. Users may view the inventory at any time through internet, which is an added feature of the system.
