description |
The Automated Following Vehicle System (AFVS) is a research aimed at solving coordination problem between two vehicles. One vehicle designated as the master vehicle and the other as the slave vehicle. A guidance system was developed for the slave vehicle in order to follow the master vehicle's path.
The AFVS uses two remote controlled model (R/C models) vehicle which one R/C model is designated as the master vehicle. The master vehicle can be controlled by the user using its radio controller.
The slave R/C model uses an MC68HC11 microcontroller with the corresponding sensor and control algorithm to follow the master R/C vehicle. |
