Description
Summary:The owners of PowerBooks Specialty Store, Inc. have decided to move its main branch in Arnaiz Avenue (formerly Pasay Road) to an approximately 1,800 square meter area in Greenbelt 4. Greenbelt 4 will be Greenbelt Centers retail mall. The mall boasts of retail stores that cater to the high end and Powerbooks management believes it can benefit greater if they transferred there. This store, however, will have a different name and a different concept as well. The branch in Greenbelt will be called PowerBooks Live. The retail store will have a different feel because the sections will each have a different look, one that is related to the book classification. It is in this light that the group has decided to make a Retail Plan. The plan proposes some steps that will help identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company, as well as pinpoint the opportunities and treats. The group has also made proposals which can help PowerBooks Live achieve excellence. Suggestions were focused on the Store Design, Store Layout, Merchandise Presentation, daily Operations, Advertisements and Promotions, as well as in the Evaluation and Monitoring Programs. With a total cost of P 3,829,985.46, the group believes that the proposed strategies can be effective an accomplishing the objectives in order to maintain a competitive edge over evolving specialty bookstores.
