The protein content of two different varieties of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata Linn.), pole sitao (Vigna sinensis var. sesquipedalis) and bush sitao

Two varieties of each kind: cowpea, pole sitao and bush sitao were evaluated according to their percentage protein content. Three trials were conducted for each sample using kjeildahl method. Cowpea crude percentage protein ranged from 16.65 percent to 18.28 percent between two varieties BPI-CP4 and...

Three trials were conducted for each sample using kjeildahl method. Cowpea crude percentage protein ranged from 16.65 percent to 18.28 percent between two varieties BPI-CP4 and EGC#5 in bush sitao, 16.96 percent to 17.52 percent for EGBS#22 and EGBS#3-1 and in pole sitao, 18.79 percent to 19.18 percent for EGPS#1 and EGKP#5, respectively. Among these samples, pole sitao contained the highest percentage protein. Results showed significant differences among the two varieties of bush and pole sitao and cowpea using one-way analysis of variance at 0.05 level of significance. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/1176 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Proteins Legumes--Varieties Vigna Cowpea
