Methanol was used as solvent and control.Extracts from Tectaria hilocarpa inhibited Streptococcus pyogenes (8.9 mm). Microsorium punctatum inhibited Staphylococcus aureus (9.1 mm) and Streptococcus pyogens (9.8 mm). Lycopodium phlegmaria inhibited Streptococcus pyogenes (8.8 mm). Candida albicans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were not inhibited by any of the plants tested.
