The participants composed of 14 single mothers and 6 single fathers who were selected by the use of purposive sampling technique. Results showed that most single parents regardless of sex, status and educational attainment used the combinational disciplinary measure particularly the verbal/physical. Household management and playing rules are commonly established. Most of the single parents inculcate values on respectfulness and spirituality through being role models and through constantly reminding them of the said values. Single mothers have more time for their children compared to single fathers. Most of them prefer the direct approach in explaining the situation to their children. Single parents generate support mostly from the extended-family.
