Summary: | Twenty white mice (Mus musculus) were divided into four groups. The first three groups were treated with different doses of Cyclosporin-A (30, 50, 70 mg/kg/day) for 21 days. Treatment were done by mixing the given doses to their regular 5 mg food pellets. The last group served as the control group receiving the same amount of food. Cyclosporin-A effects on the kidney showed historical abnormalities. Generally, cellular edema, tubular swelling, hyalinization and lymphocyte infiltration were observed in the Cyclosporin-A treated kidneys. Increasing concentration of the drug was in parallel with the severity of the damage. Most damage was observed on the last week of treatment. |
