Effect of light intensity on the growth of algae Chlamydomonas (a preliminary study)
This study sought to find the impact of light intensity on the growth rate of an algae. Hypothesis used was that a higher light intensity would inhibit growth while a lower intensity would show otherwise. Among the three light intensities used, 575 lm showed the highest growth rate of Chlamydomonas....

This study sought to find the impact of light intensity on the growth rate of an algae. Hypothesis used was that a higher light intensity would inhibit growth while a lower intensity would show otherwise. Among the three light intensities used, 575 lm showed the highest growth rate of Chlamydomonas. At light intensities beyond this, the growth is decreased. It was also found that carbon dioxide in lower concentrations, has higher growth rates. An experiment was conducted using the Chlamydomonas sp.A light intensity of 575 lm and 30 mL/min carbon dioxide supply was found suitable for the growth of an algae. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/1309 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Algae--Growth Green algae Photosynthesis Light--Physiological effect Plants Effect of light on |
